The first team to make the grand finals of the CEVO-P Season 8 finals is Virtus.pro after defeating Titan 2-0 (16-10 on de_train and 16-13 on de_cbble). The first semifinal of the CEVO Professional Division Season 8 finals at the MLG.tv arena in Columbus, Ohio was a European free-for-all with Virtus.pro locking horns with Titan. The first map was de_train, widely considered as one of VP's most formidable maps, but it was Titan who started off the stronger by scoring the pistol round and building up an early lead. However, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski and his men proved that they can never be discounted and snatched back a bevy of rounds, finishing 8-7 up on the T-side.
The CT side was much more in the Poles' court and saw them power ahead to a 16-10 victory on the first map. On de_cbble, Titan once again came out the gate with the faster momentum and took an even more commanding early lead which Virtus.pro once again sort of nullified and the half finished 8-7 in the Belgian-French team's favour. Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski won a key clutch round on the second half and the Poles in general were the more domineering team, taking nine rounds on their T half and taking the map 16-13 to advance to the CEVO Season 8 grand finals.
