North have booked one of the final spots in the ELEAGUE Major playoffs after defeating GODSENT 19-17 on Overpass. The first match of the final Swiss round began with a strong start from North, who got out to a fast 5-0 lead on the Terrorist side. But GODSENT fought back after that, winning eight of the next ten rounds to take a narrow lead going into the break, with Jesper "JW" Wecksell ending the half on 20 kills. Now playing on the CT side, North won the first three rounds of the half thanks to key plays from Emil "Magisk" Reif and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke. Andreas "znajder" Lindberg then gave GODSENT their first round of the half with a triple kill with the UMP, but North hit back right after on a hard eco.
North kept pressing and brought the scoreline to a 14-10 advantage. GODSENT refused to throw in the towel, however, and forced overtime with a string of late rounds. Spectators could feel the momentum shifting in GODSENT's favour, but North kept their cool and won two rounds in each half to seal a hard-fought 19-17 victory and move on to the playoffs.
