Kazakhstan found its representative for World Cyber Games 2009 this past weekend, as k23 topped the Kazakh qualifier. The qualifier saw eight participating teams, playing in a best-of-three maps single elimination bracket. The qualifier determined which team would represent Kazakhstan at the 2009 World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Chengdu, China. Going into the qualifier, k23 were high favorites to once again be the team to represent Kazakhstan. Coming out on top once again, k23 qualified for World Cyber Games 2009, by defeating A Team with a 2-0 map score in the overall final (16-6 on train and 16-12 on dust2). Broken tag |
