The tournament organizers revealed that Luminosity will miss the $100,000 event. The problem emerged because two Luminosity players had a problem with Canada Customs and the squad was left with only three players. LG dropped out of the event because finding two stand-ins they were familiar with in such an extremely small amount of time wouldn't be possible. If they made it to Toronto without any issues, The Brazilians were going to compete in Group B against TSM, OpTic, and Echo Fox.
A round-robin format has now been adopted for Group B, meaning the remaining three teams will play each other once in best-of-three series to determine the top two teams that will advance to the playoffs. The contest will kick off today at 18:00 and you can find everything you need to know about the competition on our event page.
